Fleece and Fiber Committee

The Fleece and Fiber Committee welcomes opportunities to advance both commercial and cottage industry fiber interests, including handcrafters and fiber arts enthusiasts. Committee efforts will include a variety of activities intended to inform members about fleece and fiber events, provide educational opportunities, sell and promote alpaca fiber (both suri and huacaya), and develop relationships with mills, guilds and the AOA fiber committee.  The 2017 steering members are:

All members are invited to become involved at any level—share ideas, pass along information, host or attend events, etc.  Contact any member of the Committee for additional information.

We are pleased that Dawn Browning took on the role of Fleece and Fiber Arts Area Manager (including fiber arts) for the Carolina Alpaca Celebration in February, 2017 and to let you know that Andrea Nissen became an AOA certified spin-off judge.
